Empowerment

We do our best to try and empower our caregivers registered in our program. Seamstress work, bead making, catering, making of palm sandals, running a grinding machine and or cleaning are common trades in Egbe. We either help them to get into the trade through training or we will come alongside their already running business to see how it can be improved to gain more market share which will empower them.

There are plenty of artisans throughout Nigeria that make beautiful handwork. Unless these artisans are in a heavily tourist area or major city, they are normally not patronized. We work with these artisans to craft products for C.A.R.E. Africa. All of our Nigerian artisans that we partner with and or our caregivers are paid immediately upon making a product. The products are then shipped to the states and sold at local craft fairs and on our online ETSY store. You can visit our store. Through the purchase of these items we are empowering Nigerians throughout Nigeria and our caregivers registered in our programs.
