C.A.R.E. Africa was started in 2014 because two 14-year-olds, Success and Wale,  came to ECWA Hospital Egbe to work with the temporary laborers revitalizing the hospital. Construction Manager Lenny Miles saw how small they were and asked their ages. Once he found out how old they were, he told them they were too young and needed to be in school. They told him they wanted to work so they could pay school fees.

Schools in Egbe, Nigeria, are essential. Jobs are scarce in this small bush town, so you must be able to read and write. C.A.R.E Africa was created to help empower kids through education and discipleship. We later found a need for widows, abandoned mothers, and the unemployed.
